Ah, I remember this scarf… 13 feet (or 3.96 meters for everyone who uses the metric system) of warm cuddly delight. This one happens to be made from premium acrylic, similar to what old Madama Nostradamus used when she made it for me. She was a witty little knitter, she was. Shame about what happened to it after the Ark in space...
But where was I? Of course! My scarf. I’ve found it useful for all sorts of scenarios, including rescuing people from falling off cliffs, serving as a leash for K-9, and for keeping myself nice and warm during the winter. It’s getting on to be winter time there on Earth isn’t it? Or not, I suppose, depending on what hemisphere you live in. People always think it’s rather chilly in space, but that’s a common misconception. The problem is radiating heat, not losing it. Then again, the TARDIS has had the occasional issue with the internal temperature control...
In any case, you’ll find this extra long scarf will keep you snuggly warm, no matter the season, and it’s a perfect place to hide a jelly baby (or three). I’ve been asked as to whether it’s an “infinity scarf,” but it isn’t. I did once learn of a knitting pattern that could unravel space and time, but I’m fairly certain that’s not the same thing.
I’ve also been told it looks a bit like the “Tom Baker scarf,” whoever that is. If he wears a scarf that looks like mine, though, he must be a rather handsome fellow, don’t you think?
