Outlander Costumes

Outlander is a series of eight books, written by Diana Gabaldon, which follow the story of Claire Randall, a 1940s woman, and Jamie Fraser, an 18th-century Scottish soldier. The Outlander series has been adapted into a tv show consisting of five seasons.

World Outlander Day

Claire Randall time travels through The Stones to 18th century Scotland where she meets young Jamie Fraser, and that’s how their story starts. A story that includes war, politics, the marriage of convenience, and everything you didn’t know you needed.

And while Claire’s and Jamie’s star-crossed love story is one of the main reasons both the show and the books were such a hit, there is also a World Outlander Day on June 1st (the day that Diana Gabaldon published her first Outlander book) which is celebrated by Outlander fans around the world.

Outlander Knitwear

Outlander became popular for a lot of reasons, one of which is its focus on historical accuracy. But it also won viewers over with its beautiful knitwear. Claire and Brianna, the leading ladies of the show, and the rest of the characters wear stunning knitted pieces that have inspired people all over the world to start recreating them. There are so many pieces worn on the show, like fingerless gloves, hats, shawls, capelets, cowls, and the iconic blue cardigan that Claire wears in the season 5 finale.
