Prototype Made, Release Version Next!

The anticipation for this design rivals that of the Rocketer Jacket! Fans are lining up and the excitement is contagious! We have the pattern nearly completed for this one and a sample garment in pleather has been sewn to allow us to do any last minute tweaking. You can see in the pictures that not every feature is completed in this prototype. The prototype is unlined and doesn't have snaps or the shoulder bells attached. Already you can see the specially ordered Riri zippers on this jacket, providing superior closure for this vintage design. Upon the recomendations of the fans, we're looking into using black plastic for the shoulder bells. Another fan suggestion has been that we should also recreate the gloves worn by Mad Max. What does everyone else think?

While we don't have a precise release date for this one yet, it is clearly not far away. We're now going to be making a fully featured version in black leather in preparation for a photoshoot prior to release. Check out the prototype pic to get a sense for what the finished product will look like. As always, as further progress is made we will be reporting back to everyone.

Mad Mad Prototype Being Made!

This project is only a few steps behind the Rocketeer and is racing to the finish line. We don't have any pictures yet, but by our next newsletter we hope to have a finalized prototype ready to display. The number of design details we are uncovering about this vintage Australian leather jacket are quite educational. We knew this was a nice looking design, but we are surprised by just how subtly unique it is compared to today's jacket design. We think that Mad Max fans will be very pleased with how this project is turning out! We will continue to let everone know how we're doing on this one as we approach completion. mad max jacket The fans have spoken, and thus another new product enters development. Some of you may have even seen some hints here and there about this one, but we feel that the time is right now to make it official. AbbyShot is developing a motorcycle jacket styled after the garment worn in the 1979 film "Mad Max".

mad max jacket There is a surprising amount of interest still in this older movie, and the Mad Max fan community have convinced us that it deserves to be created. Development on this product has begun and we are researching the design details to bring this well-known garment to our site.

The Mad Max jacket will be offered in black leather, and will have all the screen-accurate details from the movie - complete with the leather shoulderpads. At this time, we don't have any pricing or release dates available, but work is proceeding smoothly on this one and we don't expect any delays in this new product.
