Customer Pics - September 2007
This month we have three sets of photos.  First is Rick Yaeger who wore his Kingdom Hoodie during one of his guest appearances on the TV show "The Lab With Leo Laporte".

Next, we have two pics from Donn whom we met at FanExpo in Toronto where he fell in love with the Deckard right away!  Lastly, Morningstar sent us three cool pics of her wearing her Kingdom Hoodie.

Way to go everyone!  Keep sending in those customer "Oics"!

Double Shot of AbbyShot at 2 Cons!
The month of August was buzzing with activity as AbbyShot took on two conventions in a row in two different countries! Call us crazy if you must. The first was Fan Expo in Toronto (Aug. 24-26), a huge Canadian con that offered something for everyone. There was every kind of merchandise imaginable, along with horror makeup booths, comic books, and Adam West!

Then of course there was Dragon*Con in Atlanta (Aug. 31 - Sept. 3), an AbbyShot tradition for four years running. We caught up with old friends (like respected Browncoat Brian Wiser of Done the Impossible fame), and of course we made a few new ones! Our AbbyShot booth was a big attraction at both conventions as everyone LOVES trying on the latest AbbyShot gear. Check out our double-sized Convention report on our blog for lots of pics! Finally, special thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at both cons!
Silver Snail Strikes Deal With AbbyShot
While at FanExpo, AbbyShot got to meet with the owner of "The Silver Snail" one of the most successful comic book stores in Toronto.  They were very excited by AbbyShot's clothing and are soon to be the first North American store to be carrying select AbbyShot products in their stores.  The details are still being worked out, but soon we will be able to direct people in the Toronto area to a retail location where they can check out AbbyShot products!  Will AbbyShot clothing be popping up in YOUR town?  Who can say?  Oh yeah, us!  Well, we're not telling everything just yet, but we would be interested to know where you would like to see AbbyShot products displayed.  Do you have a favourite store that you think would be a perfect match for AbbyShot?  Let us know about it!

Halloween Sale!
We're having a Halloween Sale and it's something different for AbbyShot.  Rather than simply lowering prices on some items, we're actually releasing special versions for a limited time.  Five products have been re-released in unlined versions on a trial basis between now and Halloween.  Your response will determine whether or not we keep these special editions as regular products.

The two biggest advantages of these unlined versions are weight and price.  Without a lining, they are much lighter than our lined versions and thus can be worn in warmer weather, meaning that you can wear them longer throughout the year.  The price is significantly lower as well!  These prices are as attractive as the coats themselves!  The five new designs are the Enigma Unlined, Lobby Unlined, Lobby Reloaded Unlined, Stampede Duster Unlined, and Vampire Ultimate Unlined.  They are all made to the same standards as our regular versions and are just as cool looking, so check out the Halloween Sale Page!
The Vampire Ultimate Hat is Here!
Alucard HatAs you may have noticed from our Convention pics on the blog, a certain AbbyShot VP was modeling a new anime-inspired hat!  We call it the "Vampire Ultimate Hat" and of course it is based on popular bloodsucker Alucard from the OVA series Hellsing Ultimate.  It is made from the same red RDF fabric as our "Vampire Ultimate Trench" so the colours will match perfectly when you wear them together.

This hat is made to AbbyShot's exacting quality standards, and works well on its own or as an accessory to the Vampire Ultimate Trench. (for your ULTIMATE Alucard Halloween costume!)  Check out the
Vampire Ultimate Hat product page to own it now!
Payments Made Easier: Thank Your Bank!
For those of us without credit cards, ordering on the Internet can be a hassle! Money orders take forever and wire transfers can be pricey. Well, there's a new payment method in town and it's been working perfectly for AbbyShot customers in the past few months!

Banks in North America are beginning to offer their own e-mail payment services to customers. If your bank offers this service, we can accept US and Canadian currency payments by e-mail directly into our account. All you need to know is the total price of your order and our e-mail (info@abbyshot.com). There is a minimal fee from your bank of about $1.50 US, so it is certainly cheaper (and easier!) than wire transfer or money order. If you've been waiting to place your order because of payment issues, now is the time
to consult your bank to see if this is an option for you.

Last Chance For Summer Closet Sale
Summer is definitely past and Fall is just starting to show the hints of colder days to come.  It is time to officially conclude the Summer Closet Sale, but we wanted to give everyone one last chance to grab any of the deals that were listed there.  We're leaving the sale page up on our site until Monday, September 24th, after which it will be all over.  There are some great deals and one-of-a-kind items in there.  You can see what remains in this sale by visiting the Summer Closet Sale page.
Customers Share The Love Online
We're always glad when we hear from our customers, especially when they are so excited about their new AbbyShot garments!  Recently we discovered two customer reviews on the movie props web site www.therpf.com.

The first review is for the Deckard V2 that includes photos from his movie memorabilia display.  This customer is a huge movie buff and screen accuracy was a big factor for him.  You'll be interested to see what he says about our design and even the fabric colour!

The second RPF review is an older one from earlier this year, we don't know HOW we managed to miss it because it's a real beaut of a review from an extremely satisified Rocketeer fan.  Check out his comments and detailed photos covering the many features that won him over!

Lastly, we've been adding more customer reviews to our web site from emails that you've sent in.  We still have many more to add, but a quick look through some of our products will turn up some new ones.  We'll be continuing to add more, send in your review and you may see it on our web site!
Featured Site: peterdavid.net
At DragonCon we met Peter David, author of many novels, comic books, movies and TV episodes including works for Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Spiderman, Star Trek, The Incredible Hulk, The Rocketeer, Wolverine and much, much more.  He stopped by our booth and displayed that not only is he a successful and prolific writer, but he has a fine eye for quality clothing. (translation: he liked our stuff!) :-)

Seriously though, he was very friendly and was quite taken with a couple of our designs - he even expressed an interest in linking to us.  So we're doing the same for him.  Check out
his blog site and look through his bibliography.  Chances are you've either already read something he's written or you'll find your next item to pick up!
As we promised last month, a lot has happened in the past few weeks, with more things due to occur in the future as well!  We have so many things that are ALMOST really to announce that it's hard for us to resist blabbing it all.  Still, we weren't exactly suffering from a lack of content for this issue.

So many exciting developments!  Two new products, five new versions of existing products, deadlines announced, reviews posted, new services and products available for immediate delivery!  Keep checking our web site and our blog for more announcements!  If you have any questions or suggestions, please send them to info@abbyshot.com

Sincerely,

Adam Bragg
