This Month at AbbyShot: April was a very busy month at AbbyShot's global headquarters in Mount Pearl. It has been a record setting month, with a brief encounter of the wax kind, some time spent in the lime light with the press finally writing about us. While we've been enjoying these exciting times, we have had some growing pains too. Through it all we are a better and stronger company than we were in March. That is something that everyone at AbbyShot is very proud of. Okay, here's the news!!
This chart shows the number of visitors to AbbyShot.com each month since we began last July. As you can see, April was a very busy month. As a result we had a record number of sales, a record number of emails and a record number of pots of coffee. With all of that activity, some of the local media took notice of our efforts. If you visit www.thetelegram.com you can read an article written about AbbyShot by Moira Baird. The article is titled "Dressed to Kill" in the business section (dated May 3/03). Thanks for the Link! Thanks to everyone who linked to us this month, especially TheLastFreeCity.com, MatrixFanSite.com and JOBLO.com. Want to link to us? Let Abby know at info@abbyshot.com.
If you listen carefully you can hear the unasuming, polite voice of Julia Cook, AbbyShot's Production Manager, competing to be heard over the buzz of sewing machines, button holers and electronic scissors. She’s on the phone, taking orders for her own line of stretch and swimwear products, called Juice Knits. This season, Julia's products include custom made dance costumes for 6 different dance studios in the province, posing suits for fitness competitors and bodybuilders, and most recently custom made swimsuits. In the future, Julia hopes to spend even more time on her own products (in addition to managing coat production). Karen Eales, seen in this photo, is one of Julia's recent customers. Karen is a competitive bodybuilder who recently won the N.S.A.B.B.A. Atlantic Championship. She is wearing a Juice Knits original posing suit. CONGRATS KAREN!! Anybody got a Tylenol? Every business has growing pains and AbbyShot is no different. In the last month, we have we have improved our business by sourcing new materials and changing shipping companies in an effort to serve you better. Sometimes this will mean delays before you receive your coat... please bear with us. We appreciate how valuable each of you are, and we want to give you all the best experience possible. Business News: VISA We're happy to announce that we are now accepting VISA. We have added this payment method to make it even easier for customers to purchase. For now, customers can call in their credit card numbers to our toll free number, 1-877-247-2323, during the hours of 9am to 5pm Newfoundland Standard Time, Monday to Friday.
