ENIGMA Hood Options
The Oblivion Hood (below) covers the entire head comfortably and maintains some screen-accuracy.
 Oblivion Hood
The Oathkeeper Hood (below) is the fuller, bigger brother of the Oblivion Hood. While it has an opening similar to the Oblivion Hood, it is more than 5 (five) inches longer. This hood has a very high level of screen accuracy and is a must for true fans!!

Enigma and Enigma Custom are here!!
|
Earlier this month a new AbbyShot design, ENIGMA, was born. Clouded in shadows, cloaked in mysteries... The unknown characters who are behind an evil multi-universe plot form the backdrop of a fantasy video game which combines Japanese anime and classic animation.
The dark hooded trenchcoats (with flared sleeves) are the trademarks of the Unknown's appearance. AbbyShot has captured design elements from each of the four Unknown characters of this game and combined them into a unique garment. In a way, wearing Enigma makes you the fifth Unknown character.
Like 'The Cleric' before it, we have released ENIGMA in a set-sized and a custom fitted version, ENIGMA Custom. Both versions of the product are based on the same design, however the ENIGMA Custom is custom fitted, made to fit your body's measurements.

AbbyShot has also introduced a hood option. You can order your Enigma or Enigma Custom with either the Oathkeeper or Oblivion hood. (See sidebar for details) Other options for Enigma include welt-style pockets (add $25 USD) and beaded necklace and hood drawstring with beaded toggles (Add $30.00 USD)

Vash the Snowstorm!?!!
|
Two weeks ago St. John's narrowly missed a massive snow storm. The same storm dumped more than 90cm (that's 3 feet!!) on Halifax, Nova Scotia. Instead of a dumping of snow, the Avalon enjoyed a sunny beautiful weekend.
AbbyShot's Production Manager, took advantage of the weather and modelled this sharp Red Stampede Duster at Cape Spear, Newfoundland. Thanks to Paul Daly and The Independent for this lovely photo!

Do you know a Costume Junkie?
|
We've known all along that AbbyShot has some exceptional customers. Many of our customers are talented (check out the Enigma artwork below!!) and have interesting hobbies. (i.e., Stormtroopers that volunteer as punching bags)
One of our customers has taken his 'hobby' and developed it into a unique, niche market business. AbbyShot customer "COSTUME JUNKIE" is your connection to BoboFett's helmet, a phaser from Deep Space 9, or your very own Imperial Trooper scout Bike. His collection of screen used props and costumes (as well as replicas) are available on his website, CostumeJunkie.com. (Items like this soldier's uniform from Red Dwarf are available from the Junkie.)
One of the coolest, most intriguing items he had in his collection was "the melted skull and glasses from the evil Nazi guy in Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost ark. In the movie, the Nazi's open the Arc and their faces melt," he adds "It was a VERY rare piece. We hated to see it go."
Perhaps 'out with the old and in with new' is a fitting statement for the Junkie. As he must say goodbye to so many loved props, costumes and toys, he also welcomes new pieces to his collection. In a matter of days he will receive a Sunstalker Trench from AbbyShot Clothiers.
"I went to Abbyshot looking for an accurate Blade 1 trench coat. I had seen one or two others that either didn't look correct or were ridiculiously priced. I went with Abbyshot because of the workmanship, accuracy, and price :)"

AbbyShot's Cleric to be featured in Half Life Mod
|
Just last week AbbyShot forum member, PhearThe Spork, posted that AbbyShot's images were being used to develop a new version (known to gamers as 'mods') for the popular PC game, Half-Life.
A Canadian company, HIFI Entertainment, has been developing an Equilibrium-themed mod for the PC Game. When asked why they used images of AbbyShot's Cleric, Tim Hand (of HIFI Entertainment) said "it was the [coat] which helped us create the 3d Characters of the Clerics," he added "Well, the Modification is based on the movie but with a different story. The story takes place parallel to the movie."

AbbyShot's screen-accurate Cleric also appears in an ad for game
Does this mean Gun kata will be the method of choice to frag your opponents? Not for a while. Gamers will have to wait until the official release of Half Life 2 for the Equilibrium mod. (note: The release of Half-Life 2 has been delayed because of some problems at Valve software. There's lots of info about this on Halflife2.net)
Meanwhile, the AbbyShot production staff just finished a batch of Clerics (and a few Cleric Customs). So we decided it was perfect day to take a few photos. Don't mind the little white spots in the picture.. they're just snow flakes :)

AbbyShot's staff (normally a fun-loving and jovial bunch) do their very best to look 'emotionless'. Bryce never could keep a straight face ;)

New product with a Twist
|
This might sound a little silly. But we think it's fun. Instead of telling you what design we're working on next, we would like you to download the following JPEGs (Part 1 and Part 2) and finish this puzzle.
Here's a hint, there should be two separate images when you're finished. The pieces from both puzzles have been mixed together.
