You Make Us Feel Special
There is a special connection that we form with many of our customers We receive such kind and caring comments from everyone that we find it hard to describe how it makes us feel. We save the customer emails that come in when you first receive your coat. We find them to be an amazing and powerful morale booster for everyone here at AbbyShot. We see it happen time and time again, yet every time it happens it still gives us a warm feeling to know that we're able to give such euphoric joy to people with what we produce. No staff meeting is complete without some excited customer comments!
We can't bring you all into our staff meetings so that you can see for yourself how proud it makes us feel to hear your exuberant comments, but we can do the next best thing. Here's a genuine customer comment that was received just this past week. Today is our February staff meeting as well. So, join us now as we read this together. Thank you for being there, we really appreciate your support!
Adam from Spain recently received his Lobby Trench and had this to say:
Dear Adam, Erin and the rest of the AbbyShot team,
it's positive feedback time!. I opened the box and "Baby!! It's Daddy!"
I finally got the coat. It took an impressive 48 hrs for this coat to make its way from Newfoundland to Madrid. It took over 72 hrs to get from customs to my house (Spains customs and postal service can be as useful as an ashtray on a Harley Davidson). But que sera sera and all that. Cos the peacock got his plumage today.so its everything is magnifico. The quality of this coat is a true reflection of quality and craftsmanship so precise and meticulous it would make even a Swiss watchmaker jealous.
As for the measurements its virtually spot on. Given the inherent risk in buying clothing over the internet you guys have done such a fantastic job. I once said to Adam Bragg (upon his suggestion of the Mobil Ave Jacket) that "the Mobil Ave is the Frank Sinatra of long jackets". YOU guys are the Frank Sinatras of custom clothing. You really are the Chairmen of the board.
I spoke to my Dad from time to time about the level of your customer attention and attention to detail and overall professionalism you all showed. He didn't look surprised and shrugged smiling lightly "Canadians, Adam you know how they are generally.. we've both been to Canada and experienced it first hand." Simply put, overall you guys have been truly STELLAR. My only complaint, I just wish other companies could be the same.
Thank you, merci beaucoup, muchas gracias, molto grazie, vielen danke, tsen tsen, euxaristo, tack ska ni ha, dank u, shukran gazilan!
- Very happy peacock-has-his-plumage-regards,
- Adam
That pretty much sums it all up. We get emails similar to this almost every day. We can't get over just how excited and happy people are when they write us! This is the best and most unexpected side effect of this business that we could ever have hoped for. The special people that we come to know and care about really do make the difference for us. We thank everyone who sends us such comments and we hope that we always earn such responses. Thanks! :-)
A Limited Edition Red Stampede!
AbbyShot releases a Limited Edition Red Wool version of the popular Stampede Duster. Abby was able to get a very good deal on the exclusive "Continental Wool". Usually reserved for very large production houses, this durable yet luxurious fabric would regularly only be available in excessively large order quantities at $100 or more per metre! We were able to secure a comparatively smaller amount of this rich fabric at a reduced price. However, there is one catch: There is no more of this fabric available. Once we run out, it's all gone for good! If you think that Continental Wool is a thick, fluffy wool, then think again! It has an almost twill-like smoothness to it that exudes class and comfort. It is the perfect suiting wool for this design!
To accompany the Continental Wool we have specially brought in a high-end Jaquard Lining with an elegantly refined pattern woven into it. For free fabric samples, please contact us with your Full Name and your complete Mailing Address. (Given the limited quantities of this fabric, we respectfully ask that serious inquires only request samples.)
New photos and new details!
New Malice Mizer pictures have hit the AbbyShot web site and they look ritzy and sharp! We have replaced most of our inital release photos with professional imagery to better present this new design! We have eight new pictures that showcase many of the different features of this newest product. People told us that they wanted better views of the collar and clearer imagery of the buttons on the front and sleeve. These new pictures have taken these requests into consideration and then gone further to add even more than was asked for!
Another thing that has been requested recently is a video that shows the Malice Mizer in motion. If you click on the filmstrip on the right you will see that we have done just that. Please be patient as the mpg video is just over 1Mb in size. What do you think of the swirling motion of the Malice Mizer? Let us know!
There is an almost debonair line to this design which sets this garment apart from our other products, and our newest photoshoot has captured this aspect of the Malice Mizer perfectly. Take a look at the Malice Mizer Photo Gallery to see the results for yourself!
The inital response to this product has been very good and we have sent many samples of the Malice Mizer fabric to people. What? You didn't request any yet? Well, if you really want to order your Malice Mizer, request your free Malice Mizer fabric samples now!
New Contrast Stitching Available for Enigma Designs!
We've added a little feature with big style. Now you can add a touch of colour to you Enigma with contrast stitching in a variety of colours. Add a touch of red, blue, grey, or purple to the outside of your Enigma. Of course, we still offer black stitching in case you want to keep the solid black look. Match your lining colour or choose a totally different colour to accent the outside of your Enigma!
To order your Enigma with contrast stitching, look no further than our order form. You'll see a new option called "Contrast Stitching". From there, you can choose from the available colours. Black is the default choice, so if you want no contrast stitching, just leave that option alone.
New fabrics being tested each month!
Silver Satin Lining
AbbyShot now offers silver satin lining for select products! For all products currently using satin linings, you can now also select silver as a colour option. This new lining choice uses the same high quality and light weight satin lining material as used for our red and black satin linings. The colour is a bright shiny silver wth no tints of other colours - this is a true silver colour!
Satin lining is currently being used as the preferred lining in our Malice Mizer and Malice Mizer Custom, Alexander and Alexander Custom, as well as our Mobil Ave. coat. Satin lining may be available for other products upon request. Get your free fabric sample today!
Swiss-Made Precision Zippers
We do a lot of things behind the scenes that often people never know about, things that create improvements in our products wearability, durability, quality or screen-accuracy. Sometimes this is is something like how a shoulder seam is sewn, or the shape of a collar, or a new fabric. This time, we're pleased to let everyone know that we've begun to use "Riri precision zippers" in our garments. So, why should anyone care? Because Riri zippers are simply better than our previous zippers.
This is a big step for us to move into, only the best apparel designers use Riri zippers. Every feature of these Swiss-made zippers is made to the highest quality. A Riri zipper doesn't simply unzip, it glides open. Each metal tooth is polished repeatedly until it is as smooth as possible, then the teeth are electroplated with a protective finish. These are a higher quality zipper which is more expensive for us than other brands of zippers, however we won't be raising prices as a result of the better zippers. Once again, we are showing our commitment to our customers through our actions. You'll see the difference in performance and quality that you will get with a Riri precision zipper.
Rocketeer & Mad Max Continue to Approach
We warned everyone that the Rocketeer was coming quickly and we weren't kidding! Since announcing it in December, we've come a long way past that first prototype. We've been busily working away, gathering names of interested people, listening to comments and suggestions in emails and on our forum, and have further refined the design to bring it ever closer in screen accuracy, while maintaining the utmost in wearability. Many people are excited to wear this garment, whether as part of a costume, for wearing on their motorcycle, or just as their next favourite leather jacket! Here at AbbyShot we are at the final pre-release stages, literally counting down the days. This article was almost a "Rocketeer Released!" piece. We will be sending out a special notice soon to let everyone know when it will be available for purchase. If you haven't emailed us about the Rocketeer before, then get added to the Rocketeer Update List!
This project is only a few steps behind the Rocketeer and is racing to the finish line. We don't have any pictures yet, but by our next newsletter we hope to have a finalized prototype ready to display. The number of design details we are uncovering about this vintage Australian leather jacket are quite educational. We knew this was a nice looking design, but we are surprised by just how subtly unique it is compared to today's jacket design. We think that Mad Max fans will be very pleased with how this project is turning out! We will continue to let everone know how we're doing on this one as we approach completion. If you are dying to know when this one is released and haven't emailed to let us know yet, then send in your support and we'll add you to the update list to keep you informed!
Voice Your Opinions Now!
January's Newsletter had two Crow-related suggestions. One for Eric Draven's Trench from "The Crow", and Ashe's Trench from "The Crow: City of Angels". Both have been well received and we are still collecting email support for both of them. If you haven't shown your support yet and still want to, you can click the appropriate link above.
This issue we are bringing three garments for you to comment on. The first item is one that we ran once before in a previous issue, but appears to be seeing a slight resurgance in interest due to the recent movie "Underworld: Evolutions". Selene's Trench has reappeared on our radar and may yet be produced, pending customer demand. If this is the trench for you, then let us know!
The movie "The Brotherhood of The Wolf" featured a very distinctive brown duster that has had intermittent interest ever since it was released. This could become an AbbyShot item one day. Do you want one? Tell us what you think!
The last suggestion is from the upcoming movie "Ultraviolet". The main character in this film is named Violet and she wears a very cool looking garment, which apparently can change colours. This movie still has a way to go before being released, so some details aren't out there yet. From what we're seen so far this might become rather popular. Would you like us to produce this?
We'd love to hear from you! Let us know what you think of this newsletter! See you next issue!
