FOXHOUND Prototype Gets Fan Reviewed!
|
FOXHOUND fans were out in full force on the AbbyShot blog during the
month of November - the FOXHOUND Trench prototype made quite an
impression!
We asked for your feedback and, wow, did you ever respond! There were over 50 comments on our first prototype picture blog post, so a big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who commented!
We've published one response blog post so far, to address the initial comments on our prototype and also to show some pictures of the coat being worn. If you haven't seen the response post yet, be sure to check that out!
We know that 2 main questions now remain in the minds of Metal Gear fans, so we'll address them now:
1. What is the retail price?
We're
timing the sewing of our sample coats right now to determine the best
possible price for this coat. The price hasn't been 100% finalized yet,
but we're estimating a $325 to $399 USD price range (around $399 to
$499 CAD).
2. When will it be released?
We
were really hoping to have this out for you time for Christmas, but we
really wanted to take the time to do this coat right. We're now
estimating a release around the end of January 2009. So be sure to save
up some of that Christmas money ;)
As soon as there's more news
to report, you'll hear it directly from us, either here in the
Newsletter or on the Blog. We'll keep fighting the good fight for you!

The past month has seen AbbyShot appearing all over the 'net, in articles found on numerous movie-related websites.
First, the Vereen Jacket was featured (at number 1 no less!) on UK film magazine Empire's Christmas Wishlist! We're honored to be mentioned by such a prominent magazine and we're in fine company on the list too, so be sure to check out Empire's wishlist! Here's an excerpt:
"Abbyshot's replica is a stunning example of mutant chic, beautifully
made from soft, supple leather. It's sturdily put together (enough to
survive a couple of rounds with Sabertooth, at least) and if you ever
wanted to know what it feels like to be Hugh Jackman, try slipping this

Second, our Deckard Trench
was in the spotlight on movie blog Cinematical, in one of their Holiday
write-ups! This article ended up being linked on super-site IMDB.com, so this one certainly traveled! Here's a portion of what Cinematical had to say:
"So, go ahead -- get in a fistfight with that Rutger Hauer lookalike,
because it will stand you in good stead. Wear it, knowingly, to a
noodle bar! You'll be in fashion in the past, present, and future --
and while all those moments may be lost, like tears in rain, the coat

a cool grandparent."

As
we mentioned last month, you guys and girls sent in so many cool
Halloween photos that they couldn't all fit into one blog post!
That's
why our Customer Photos Blog Post for December still has that awesome

AbbyShot Needs Christmas Holidays Too!

Christmas
is a time for friends, family, and fun - and the crew at AbbyShot are
going to enjoy all three during a short Christmas holiday at the end of
the month. We will be out of the office for the following dates: AbbyShot Christmas Holidays:
