Mad Max Pre-Release Pleases The Fans!

New Jacket Orders Coming in Fast!

Mad Mad Jacket A true classic leather jacket! Buy Now!

The pre-release of the Mad Max jacket has been a resounding success! Mad Max fans are so excited that they will receive their jackets any day now! The orders have been flowing in daily, with the very first order coming in 20 minutes after the pre-release was announced! The first production run of this amazing leather jacket will certainly be selling out in no time.

But the jacket itself isn't the only thing that makes us so excited. In our constant quest for screen-accuracy, we give you the chance to look exactly like Mad Max when he first hit the screens in 1979 thanks to our replica badges and gloves! The jacket comes with screen-accurate, moulded, riveted shoulder bells or can be ordered without them. The badges are a three piece set, and the gloves are leather and of exceptional quality! The badges and gloves can be ordered as an ensemble along with the jacket or as separate items, but be aware that they are available in a limited quantity and are already moving quickly.

Finally, if you're lucky enough to be in the Atlanta area for Dragon*Con this Sept. 1st to 4th, you will be one of the first to see the Mad Max jacket in person! September 1st will be the official release date both on our web site and in our AbbyShot booth, so we will certainly have some product on hand at the Con. Walking around Dragon*Con in a brand new Mad Max jacket, what could be better than that? :-)

Dragoncon 2006 is almost here!

Attendees are in for a real treat this year!

Dragon*Con is practically heartbeats away and our hearts are definitely beating excitedly! Yours will be too when you see what we have in store for you at Dragon*Con! As we've mentioned already, Friday, September 1st is the official release date for the Mad Max Jacket and we will have a number of them available at the booth for immediate purchase.

picture And the secret new product is... Nope, we can't say!

Many different designs will be on hand with special convention prices for those who buy their coats at Dragon*Con. This will be your chance to see and try on many of our styles! We will also be debuting some surprise products as well. Every day will bring new surprises for convention-goers as AbbyShot presents its biggest convention presence ever with more product releases and more garments for sale than ever before.

AbbyShot's booth will be in the new secondary Exhibitors Hall in the Hilton Hotel, the same location as the Walk of Fame. AbbyShot in the same room as all the famous actors from everyone's favourite movies and TV shows, kind of appropriate don't you think? You'll be able to find us by looking for the film strip at the top of our booth. Stop on by our Dragon*Con booth, we can't wait to meet everyone, old friends and new ones alike! Also, AbbyShot staff will be taking part in the Dragon*Con Parade on Saturday morning. Feel free to meet up with us, we'll be in "Section 28: Mad Max". We'd love to have you walk with us, even if you're not wearing Mad Max clothing - everyone is welcome!

We realize that not everyone can make it out to Dragon*Con, so we have a special treat for everyone who visits our web site during the Dragon*Con convention. On Friday, we'll be releasing the Mad Max Jacket with new pictures and more info. On Saturday, we'll be debuting an important secret new product that we KNOW will make a lot of people extremely excited! and on Sunday we will be announcing the Coming Soon of a hot design for the women that has been heavily requested for a few years now. Every day will bring new discoveries to the AbbyShot web site! We will also be revealing another online surprise all convention long, but we can't even hint at what it is - you'll just have to visit to see!

New Kingdom Hoodie Price!

Another Reason to Love the Hoodie!

picture You know you want it! Buy Now!

AbbyShot is very pleased to announce a great new development for Kingdom Hearts fans! Our Kingdom Hoodie has been getting an amazing response from customers all over the world, and we've been constantly looking for ways to make this product even better. First, we added an XXL size for people who enjoy a looser fit. Later in the year, we added an X-small size for customers who wanted a more form-fitting look. Following that, we improved the necklace to make it more attractive and screen-accurate.

Then we thought: why stop there? The hoodie itself is as good as it gets, the only thing we can think of is to lower the price! We've dropped the price by 15% down to $99 USD, making this the best possible deal for your Kingdom Hoodie!

AbbyShot visits Comic-Con 2006!

Bigger Than Big!

Comic-con 2006 Oh yeah, we were roughing it... Comic-con 2006 Comic-con 2006 A tiny slice of one instant of the massive crowds, this is probably less than 1% of the people we were surrounded by that day. Comic-con 2006 Not only the crowds were massive, the center section of the Exhibitor's Hall had about 20 or so different companies' booths each of which were this size or larger! Comic-con 2006 Not everything was massive, this little guy was too cute for words!

This past July Justin and I (Adam) traveled from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada all the way to San Diego, California, USA - practically a diagonal line from the top right corner to the bottom left corner of North America! When we arrived, we were surrounded by the beautiful scenery and the impressive heat! The locals told us that it was a heat wave, but call it what you will, it was definitely hotter than we were used to. I expect that Justin and I must have drank about 50 litres each (Water, that is!) over the weekend! :-)

Comic-con 2006 While crowded, everyone was extremely friendly, like these two lovely ladies who posed with us. I'm the Browncoat on the right. Comic-con 2006 I don't know what these two are, but they appear to be having fun being it... Comic-con 2006 Justin hanging with AbbyShot customer Joan and her husband. Comic-con 2006 Comic-con 2006 Just guess what's popular right now!

We weren't really sure what to expect from Comic-Con, this was our first ever trip to a convention this size. They were estimating that they'd have 110,000 attendees over the entire four days - apparently they passed that mark at about mid afternoon on the second day. I don't know what the eventual total headcount was, but I can tell you that it was beyond crowded!

There was so much to see that it was literally overwhelming at times. We spent two days just taking a look at all the exhibitor's booths. I don't mean a leisurely study either, I mean it took that long just to see everything once! Also, if you ever want the scoop on all the latest upcoming movies, I can't think of a better place to be. We were treated with so many advance teasers, exclusive footage and discussion panels with famous actors and directors that it would make your head spin just for us to describe it all. Suffice it to say, we gained some valuable info and have a list of movies that we'll be watching out for over the next 8 months or so!

We also got a chance to meet up with some great people as well. We met many of the Southern California Browncoats, including two customers whose pictures I'm including here. We also met with long-time forum member Lord Midget and spent some quality time with him, discussing everything from ancient history, to not so ancient history, to movies, and even a bit about AbbyShot's future - mostly though we just hung out like old buddies right from the start, which I gotta say was exceptionally cool. My only regret is that we forgot to get a picture. Ah well, blame it on the skull-baking heat! :-)

I could go on and on and on about all the amazing things we saw, all the people we spoke with (I met Lou Ferrigno, A.K.A. The Incredible Hulk!), and things we found out about, but sometimes pictures speak louder than words, so take a look at the images to get a tiny taste of what it was like. Maybe you'll want to go next year!

Will we return? Most certainly! We don't know for sure just when AbbyShot will return, all we know is that we'll need to have a fairly sizable presence to even get noticed in comparison to some of the booths we saw there... What do you think? What should a "big time" AbbyShot booth look like? What should it include? Send us your ideas and you may see them in action at a future Comic-Con!

Continental Stampede Duster is no more!

The time has come to say goodbye...

Continental Stampede Duster is no more! So sad to see you go...

It’s been a great run, but AbbyShot has the sad duty of informing you that the Continental Stampede Duster has ridden off into the sunset. We announced this Limited Edition coat back in the February newsletter when we got a great deal on some of the very finest red wool. The only downside was that our supply of this rich and durable fabric couldn't last forever!

So now we have to say some tearful goodbyes and think about all the good times we've had together. Continental Stampede Duster, it was nice knowing you! Don't be too sad though, we're sure to have other Limited Edition releases in the future.
