The Lobby Reloaded gets an exciting update in August!! We have a limited quantity of Twill Covered buttons (see photo) for the Lobby Reloaded. This is the deluxe button option for those who want a completed look for their twill Lobby Reloaded.

If this button choice proves to be popular, then we will consider extending it with additional purchases of twill-covered Lobby Reloaded buttons, and may even consider acquiring the larger twill-covered buttons for our twill Lobby Trench as well. Currently however, the fabric covered buttons option is available to order now while supplies last!!

No, really!! Jigen, one of our recent customers, wore his Enigma trenchcoat at Akon 15 last Spring and lo and behold flocks of Japanese reporters gathered around him!! Well, okay, maybe not flocks, but there was one reporter and she even had a cameraman. Jigen managed to get himself on Japanese television for a show about the popularity of Anime in North America. Way to go Jigen!!

It's the classic trench that started it all...
"We are proud to introduce the Lobby Trench Wool, a designer trench coat for the dramatic gentleman. AbbyShot Clothiers have skillfully combined designer fabrics with bespoke tailoring to produce a trench coat that is wearable art..."
The Lobby Trench was the first design ever offered by AbbyShot Clothiers and it represents the entire concept of our company. From a great movie comes an awesome trench coat that you cannot find anywhere else!! Just ask any Matrix fan and they'll tell you to get an AbbyShot ;-) Your requests for the Italian Wool fabric option in this design have not gone un-noticed! :-) AbbyShot would like to thank all of you who have patiently waited for this version.
As an introductory offer to our customers and newsletter subscribers, AbbyShot's Lobby Trench Wool is available for pre-order. Pre-ordering your Lobby Trench Wool ensures priority placement in our production schedule, and that's important as we enter our busiest season. As an added bonus, we're offering free shipping on all pre-ordered Lobby Trench Wools, but the special only lasts until September 6th, so order today!

In April of this year AbbyShot launched a new website; complete with a new order management system and lots of smooth programming that has made everyone's life a little easier here. Many thanks to Khazwossname for bringing all of that together for us =)
Noticeably absent from the new website was our 'Coming Soon' page - a part of our site dedicated to announcing the progress of our newest product designs. These pages have been redesigned and are now back online. :) Early this month, the 'Coming Soon' pages were re-introduced to show our progress on the Alucard / Arucard trench coat. The new Coming Soon pages feature a designer's blog, sample coat photos, and a comments and suggestions form that allows you to tell us what you think!!
Speaking of Coming Soon projects, there's been a small update on the Alucard Coming Soon project. By visitor request, we've added a couple of full length shots of the Alucard prototype sample for people who wanted to see how it hangs and how full it is in the back. The Alucard Trench is an "in progress" garment based upon the coat worn by the main character of the japanese anime series "Hellsing". (not connected in any way with the recent Hollywood movie "Van Helsing".) Go to our Alucard Coming Soon page to see the newest information.

We've recently been receiving a lot of questions about some obscure, disbanded Jrock bank called "Malice Mizer", "Spiteful Scrounger" or some such foppish name. The word on the net is that we're even considering making this thing! I mean really? Does anyone really want to wear such a thing?
We've received the email requests, checked out the design itself, and seen all the posts on our forum that theorise that we're evil or that we're withholding information, but we're not!! We're innocent, I tell you! We'd never tease our loyal customers - that would be w r o n g...
Rest assured, there are no conspiracy theories afoot regarding this "barely requested" garment. Especially for such an unwanted, undersupported, undesired, and unwarranted design as this "Pernacious Pennypincher" coat! In the unlikely event that anything should come of this ridiculous proposition that we're working on such a design, we'll be sure to inform everyone. :D

DeltaTriad recently sent us a cool video of himself in his new Stampede Duster portraying a certain Anime character, complete with doughnuts! Take a look and if you feel inspired to send us a video of yourself in your AbbyShot trenchcoat, don't hesitate! We'd love to see it! :-)

Grab your Stormtrooper armour, your camera, and your appetite for 'Con cuisine.... because AbbyShot is going to Dragon*Con. Dragon*Con is the largest scifi convention in North America, boasting thousands of the best costumers anywhere! There simply aren't words that can properly describe or explain Dragon*Con. If you've never been there before, be prepared to have your mind blown! There are so many things happening and so many cool people to meet. Authors, actors, movie directors, and so much more!
We're really excited about the opportunity to meet many of our long time customers too! People like Evan pictured here who will be sporting several cool costumes, including his new Rocketeer costume. There are many others who have posted on our forum and sent us emails, telling us that they'll be there! We can't wait to meet everyone!
We'll be at the Con (booth #713) to answer your questions and show you the coolest new stuff from AbbyShot! You can even be measured AbbyShot staff at our booth, and if you place your order at the con we'll ship it for free! We will also extend our free shipping offer to orders placed on AbbyShot.com until September 6/04!!
Lastly, we're going to be conducting a Costuming presentation (Saturday, September 5, 2004 at 5:30pm in the Amsterdam Hall) all about how we acheive our screen accuracy and what we go through in developing new products with a question and answer session afterwards! You can find us on this handy Dragon*Con map... we're highlighted in blue! There's lots of opportunities to get all the inside info from us and STILL have an amazing time at the biggest fan convention.

What you're looking at is a silver lining on a Black Gemini Reloaded Trench. The good news is that we've offically added silver lining as an option for nearly all of our garments. Some of our more adventurous customers have independently customized their garments with silver linings before we made it an official option. They've received very sleek looking garments. Over the past 6-8 months we've seen nearly every one of our designs get ordered by one person or another with silver linings, and they look great! Many people may not think of a silver lining as their first choice in lining colour, but we've seen the results and we think that everyone should give silver a second look! :-)

Check out our new CAD cutting table! W00t!
|
|
There's a new employee at AbbyShot who is 12 feet long, 6 feet wide, and eats patterns for lunch! :-) We have finally acquired our computerized cutter and pattern drafting system. This may not directly matter to our customers, but the results certainly will! This new CAD/Cutting system will enable us to acheive even great feats of design accuracy! We will be working on even more new designs than previously possible. Once we're fully comfortable with all this new technology, our turnaround times on orders may even decrease! There are many good things that will come from this new technology, and we're very excited about the possibilities and expanded capabilities that it will give us!

We're buzzing. Like "your fifth espresso in the morning" buzzing. I mean, we're really flerked out at AbbyShot because in a few short weeks we'll begin the busiest season of the year. It hasn't been a normal year for us either. Our summer has been full of new product features, photoshoots, and setting up some cool things at the shop!
Well, next thursday we're going to Dragon*Con and we'll be back on Sept. 9th. (Our apologies in advance for slow email responses during that week) When we return we'll have quite a few orders to fill and then it will be Hallowe`en. Oh! Did I mention two customers of ours got married last Hallowe`en? Our customers are the coolest!! Do you know what happens after October? Christmas. Forget about November! At AbbyShot we go from Hallowe`en to Christmas in a week! It's like whammo!, one minute we're enjoying our summer and then it's "Happy New Year!!" :-)
We're not complaining, though. We all like to be busy, but we felt it was only fair to give you guys some advance notice that, yes, this year will be even busier than last year. You know what I forgot to mention? New products!! We have several that we're working on and it looks like we'll be releasing a couple this fall. So I guess we'll be busier than I originally thought. Busy, busy, busy, busy....
A day at AbbyShot in August is comparable to the countdown before Episode III... everybody knows that some really busy days are just around the corner. The only difference being that we'll keep 'Jar-Jar Binks' out of it. ;-)
In closing our August Newsletter, we just would like to remind all of our customers and newsletter subscribers that our turnaround times will increase as we get busier. We have some great trenches available at the moment and although it might be hard to think about trench coats in August, it certainly is a great time to order one.
Thanks and see ya next time!
Adam and Patrick
p.s., To ensure Hallowe`en delivery, get your order in by September 24th!! Order by September 6th for free shipping as well! :)
